d=26-q

1d +0.25q = 17

1(26-q) +0.25q = 17

26 -q +0.25q = 17

26-0.75q = 17

-0.75q = -9

q = -9 / -0.75 = 12

 12 quarters and 14 dollars


check 12 * 0.25 = 3

3+14 = 17
