The elements that are characterized by having only five electrons in the p sublevel belong to the family of elements known as halogens.
There are only five elements that belong to this family, and those are: fluorine (F), chlorine (Cl), bromine (Br), iodine (I), and astatine (At), but there is an additional one which is artificially created and is called tennessine (ts). The name halogen means - salt-producing.
