In this figure is a transversal which cuts across the parallel lines a and b. The correspponding angles around each intersection are equal in measure. Angle 1 and Angle 5 are the corresponding angles. So the angles 1 and 5 are equal in measures. m 1 = m 5 . Answer: m 5 = 34 degrees.
