Answer:  -1 < x < 1

Work Shown:

-1 < 4x+3 < 7

-1-3 < 4x+3-3 < 7-3 .... subtracting 3 from all sides

-4 < 4x < 4

-4/4 < 4x/4 < 4/4 .... dividing all sides by 4

-1 < x < 1

Therefore x is any number between -1 and 1, excluding both endpoints.
