Molar mass NaOH = 23 +16+1 = 40g/mol  

1.5mol = 40*1.5 = 60g That is the correct answer.

The first step is to calculate the molar mass

Na(sodium)= 23

O(oxygen)= 16

H(hydrogen)= 1

23+16+1

= 40
